1. About This Site
247 Referral Service LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates chicagowaterdamage247.com as an independent referral service. We connect homeowners and property owners with independent third-party restoration contractors. We are not a contractor, restoration company, public adjuster, insurance company, emergency response provider, or home services provider. Nothing on this website is an offer by us to perform restoration, mitigation, construction, repair, insurance, or public-adjusting services.
2. Independent Contractors Only
Any contractor referred through this website is an independent business. We do not employ, supervise, control, direct, manage, or guarantee any contractor, contractor employee, subcontractor, or representative. Contractors are solely responsible for their own work, pricing, licensing, insurance, bonding, permits, warranties, representations, response times, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
No employment, agency, partnership, joint venture, fiduciary, or contractor relationship is created between us and any referred contractor.
3. No Credential Verification
Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, we do not independently verify any contractor’s license, insurance, bonding, certifications, qualifications, legal standing, background, or suitability. You are solely responsible for verifying any contractor’s credentials, insurance, licensing, references, and qualifications before hiring that contractor or allowing work to begin.
4. No Warranties
All referrals are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranty or representation of any kind regarding any contractor, including but not limited to quality, workmanship, licensing status, insurance status, pricing, timeliness, availability, safety, fitness for a particular purpose, or outcome.
5. Not an Emergency Response Provider
We are not an emergency response provider and do not dispatch contractors. We do not guarantee contractor availability, arrival time, response time, job acceptance, service quality, or service outcome. 24/7 intake availability does not mean that a contractor will be available or will respond at any particular time.

6. Referral Fee Disclosure
247 Referral Service LLC may receive a referral fee, lead fee, marketing fee, or other compensation from contractors when a connection is made through this website, phone number, text message, or intake system. This compensation is paid by the contractor, not by you. You are not required to use any contractor we refer and may choose any contractor you want.
Our compensation arrangement does not create an agency, fiduciary, advisory, contractor, insurance, or public-adjuster relationship between us and you.
7. No Insurance or Public Adjuster Services
We are not a public adjuster and do not act as a public adjuster in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, or any other state. We do not prepare, present, negotiate, advise on, advocate for, settle, or assist with insurance claims. We do not interpret insurance policies or represent you in communications with an insurance company.
For insurance-claim advice, consult a licensed public adjuster, attorney, or insurance professional in your state.
8. Consent to Contact
By submitting a form, calling, texting, or otherwise contacting us, you consent to being contacted by 247 Referral Service LLC and by one or more referred contractors regarding your water damage or restoration inquiry. Contact may be made by phone, text message, or email using the contact information you provide.
You may opt out of further text messages by replying “STOP.” You may request that we stop contacting you at any time.
This consent is limited to communications related to your inquiry and does not authorize unrelated marketing.
9. Call Recording and Communications Disclosure
Calls to or from our intake line may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, lead-tracking, documentation, and business purposes. Because call-recording laws vary by state and Illinois may require all-party consent for certain private communications, you should not call our intake line if you do not consent to monitoring or recording.
We may also retain text messages, emails, form submissions, call logs, and related communications for business, compliance, and recordkeeping purposes.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 247 Referral Service LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to your use of this website, your submission of a request, your call or message to us, any referral, any contractor interaction, or any work performed or not performed by a referred contractor.
This includes, without limitation, direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, economic, property, personal injury, bodily injury, mold, water damage, business interruption, loss-of-use, and data-related damages, regardless of legal theory.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the greater of: (a) one hundred dollars ($100.00), or (b) the amount you paid directly to 247 Referral Service LLC for the referral service.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 247 Referral Service LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to:
(a) your use of this website; (b) your submission of any form, call, text, or request; (c) your interaction with any referred contractor; (d) any work performed or not performed by a referred contractor; (e) any property damage, personal injury, bodily injury, mold, water damage, business interruption, or other loss involving a referred contractor; (f) your violation of these Terms; or (g) any third-party claim arising from a referral made at your request.
12. Customer and Contractor Disputes
Any dispute regarding contractor work, pricing, payment, workmanship, damage, delay, insurance, warranty, cleanup, mold, water damage, or service outcome is solely between you and the contractor. We have no obligation to mediate, resolve, pay, reimburse, supervise, inspect, or participate in any dispute between you and a contractor.
13. No Guarantee of Contractor Quality or Outcome
We do not guarantee that any contractor will meet your expectations, complete the work, perform the work correctly, charge a particular price, arrive at a particular time, accept your job, or produce any particular result.
14. Accuracy of Website Information
We attempt to provide accurate general information but do not guarantee that all website content is complete, current, or error-free. Website content is provided for general informational and referral purposes only and should not be relied upon as legal, insurance, construction, restoration, mold, safety, or professional advice.
15. Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, this website, your use of this website, or any referral made through this website shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration in Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association under its applicable consumer arbitration rules. Arbitration shall proceed only on an individual basis. You and 247 Referral Service LLC waive the right to a jury trial and waive the right to bring or participate in any class action, collective action, mass action, private attorney general action, or representative proceeding.
If any part of this arbitration provision is found unenforceable, the unenforceable portion shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall remain in effect to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Although we serve customers in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, all disputes shall be governed by Illinois law. For any claim not subject to arbitration, the exclusive venue shall be the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
